Being announced as the #1 home inspector in 2022 could only be described as surreal.
Within my career, I’ve learned that adversity due to my age was always going to be a thing. Although I’ve gone through extensive training throughout my whole life, those experiences are far from evident at face value. I knew that the only way to combat the preconceived notion presented by my looks was through knowledge. I made it a daily goal to learn at least one new thing a day.
Age can be looked down on easily, but people fail to see its paramount asset; the unrivaled ability to learn. Education through CEU courses, personal inquisitions with construction professionals, and mistakes made along the way are what have led me to this point. In an industry where we are the main source for knowledge, it’s important to humble yourself by realizing what you don’t yet know, and proceeding to grow. It is a promise to my clients that I will continuously grow as long as I serve them.
The most important part about this award is that I didn’t earn it solely on my own. I was only deserving of the award itself because my amazing community had seen me as such. My clients as well as my agents are my family, and without them this would not have been possible. Being named #1 out of so many competitors in the state, showed me that if I can attain my dream of changing the outlook of age in the real estate industry.
I want others to look at people like me and say “wow that’s impressive”, instead of “how much experience could you actually have?”. That’s why Young Buck Home Inspections got its name.
A lot of people questioned me on what connotation the word young in my company name would give to people, and I can easily understand that concern. But for me, this name means so much.
The name Young Buck is a designated name for someone who takes over an industry utilizing their youth as a gift. In every way, shape and form, that is what this company stands for. I’d like to say thank you so much to whoever has nominated me, and that I’m truly honored to have been seen as worth this award. I’ll continue to earn this title daily.
